What are the startup costs and what do they include?
Start up costs range from $74,400 – $157,600 (which includes the $37,500 Franchise Fee). Details will be disclosed in the FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document. To receive our FDD, contact us to Get Started.
Are there ongoing fees involved?
There is an on-going royalty rate of 5% of sales plus a 1% contribution to the marketing fund. There is also a technology fee of $250 a month for POS software system and web maintenance. Contact us to Get Started.
How much space does a studio need?
We have studios that range from 500 square feet to 2200 square feet. We will guide you to the ideal size which will depend on your location and territory selection.
Do you assist with finding a location?
Yes. We will support you and assist in finding the most optimal location for your area of interest. In the event a buyer is already aware of an available space, we will work with you to determine if the desired location is a fit for The Hot Spot Studios. How long does it take to open?
As soon as the agreement is signed you can be open within a few months! Factors to consider are location and how much work needs to be done to get the space to a vanilla shell and move-in ready.
Do I have to be good at art?

Can I own more than one Hot Spot?

How many employees are needed to operate the business?
If it is a smaller studio it can be run by 1 or 2 employees, larger studios may need 3-10. This also depends on the area, how busy the studio gets etc.
How do I promote the business and get the word out?
