The Hot Spot Studios mission is to create a relaxed, fun atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable no matter their artistic abilities. We want to greet and guide them through the process so that ultimately, customers love their masterpiece, and have lasting memories they will cherish forever!
We want to empower our employees and franchise owners to facilitate this process in a way that leaves a lasting impression to the customer, creating a loyalty that continues to grow.

Our strong bond with the community helped The Hot Spot Studios thrive during the Covid-19 pandemic where we pivoted toward take home projects that helped local families enjoy creative time together while social distancing.

Leadership Team
Olivia Parsons Franks
Olivia is a self-taught entrepreneur, successfully running creative studios for more than 28 years, and pioneered her first Paint Your Own Pottery studio in 1996. She then opened five more studios across the West Coast.
Adept at marketing and adapting to challenges, Olivia navigated the pandemic with innovative solutions like "art to go" programs, online shopping, and Zoom classes, maintaining profitability and jobs.
Her Hot Spot Studios, have won multiple awards and featured in media, including Fox Morning News, San Diego Living, and TLC's "Married at First Sight."
In 2023, she co-founded The Hot Spot Studios with Lorraine Kitsos.
Lorraine M. Kitsos
With over 30 years’ experience managing small businesses, Lorraine brings informed and passionate support to new business owners.
Lorraine owned Lotus Designs in Hong Kong and Redfish Kids Clothing in Vancouver BC., for which she won Canada’s Western Living Magazine’s Designer of the Year Award in 2015.
She has distributed her designs internationally and continues to be commissioned for design and business coaching nationally and internationally.
Kitsos completed an Executive MBA in 2020 and has built a reputation for her vision, infectious energy, and significantly increasing revenue for several businesses across diverse industries.
Married to an interdisciplinary contemporary artist and mother of two, Lorraine is deeply committed to collaboration and creativity in every aspect of her life.
Currently, she brings her extensive business acumen to The Hot Spot Studios franchise.
Jennifer Eberts
Jennifer brings over 35 years of franchising experience to The Hot Spot Studios. She founded her own executive coaching and franchise development company in 1994, gaining all clients through word-of-mouth.
Eberts has a diverse portfolio across sectors like home improvement, hospitality, fitness, and more. She has worked with franchises globally, awarding over 1,300 franchises and coaching executive teams.
Experienced as a franchisee, franchisor, and board member, Eberts excels in innovative problem-solving. She joins The Hot Spot as the Director of Franchise Development and part of the ownership team, enthusiastic about her diverse role.
Emma Wood
Emma Wood brings to The Hot Spot more than 10 years in franchising, mentored by Jennifer Eberts. She has interviewed nearly a thousand franchise candidates, focusing on finding the right fit to help them realize their entrepreneurial aspirations.
Emma's expertise lies in building strong connections and facilitating the fruition of dreams with a simple phone call. Her background includes roles in property management and finance.
As a mother of three, Emma strives to balance her professional achievements with family life, aspiring to be a role model for combining business success with personal fulfillment.
She is excited to further her career with The Hot Spot working closely with the Head Office and as part of the ownership team.
